We had a long, hot, walk around the Roques de Garcia in the El Teide National Park, but the best photo turns out to be the first one, taken by the bus stop in the carpark. Such is the fortune of a photographer!
El Teide is the third largest island volcano in the world, and not yet dormant. You can just see the cable car route, which takes people to within 600 metres of the top. Luckily for us (!!) only 150 summit permits are issued each day.
