January2016-13

A nightjar in my garden, quickly snapped through a window some time ago. It has been included in the Hampshire Ornithological Society's "Hampshire Bird Atlas" which was launched today at The Guildhall in Winchester.
Nightjars are nocturnal migratory birds and therefore not often seen. This one must have been very disorientated to have spent the day on my garden spade.
Wow, great shot, never seen one!
