The Bramble Post marks the SE corner of The Bramble Bank in the middle of the Solent. It...the Bank not the Post... is a considerable hazard to shipping. As it was high water we could afford to have a closer look than usual, but were not nearly as close as it looks here.
On Sunday 21st there will be a quick game of cricket as the Bank uncovers at an especially low water. There will be press photographers and lots of spectators arriving by boat, but not me as the match starts at 6.30am this year!
