A Slow Death

1000 Mile Walk Day 59 approaching The Grange, Northington, and two months of walking completed without missing a day.
The parasitic mistletoe has really taken hold of the avenue of trees which still make a grand approach to The Grange, an early 19thC house.
there was a report recently about mistletoes 'communicating' with each other to be sure to prevent killing their host. This poor tree look like it has mistletoe that didn't get the memo!

Kudos for your two months of daily walks. There is such beauty in the textures, in spite of the ultimate outcome of hosting the parasites. I have an old juniper that is full of mistletoe, and note the gradual increase of the clumps each year.
