This little bird, ever aware of my presence, still allowed me to get within about 6 feet of him. Just kept looking at me, then going back to eating more birdseed.

Thanks for your comments; I took the photo with a snapshot camera with an autofocus lens. A Canon PowerShot A2300.
I have yet to purchase a DLSR; even an entry level camera such as the Canon T3i is still not within my price range until Christmas shopping is done. Participating in Project 365 has raised my interest in photography, thus the desire to purchase a better camera, maybe take a class.
