Jasmine & Jeff

These purple glass squares, embedded in the sidewalk in front of the Hotel Churchill, are probably part of the decorative ceiling over what was once the basement pool.
I have never seen it, and am unsure. but there used to be the same thing in front of the Hotel San Diego, torn down perhaps 5 years ago. I knew a guy who worked & lived there & he told me about the pool at the Hotel San Diego when I'd asked about the purple glass.
At one time they used to light up in the evening, a warm, dim violet glow.

I've never heard of such a thing, and it is so cool! Like you, I would have loved to have seen it poolside from below. I'm afraid you'll have to let me in on your title though!

Like Jane, I'd love to know more about the title...you always have something cryptic working in it! The whole beautiful mystery of this place sounds quite wonderful! I don't know what caused the look, but the undulating wall on the right has a mystery to share, too! Nice, John!

Beautiful pov and what I take to be reflections in windows at the top of the picture. That violet glow must have been so beautiful. I also wonder about the title. Fav for me!

@cejaanderson @Weezilou @tristansmum I believe that the undulations in the reflection are because that pane may be filled with plexiglas, not glass. Plexiglas that's been dented in pretty good. The whole place is pretty dilapidated, boarded up, falling apart.
Jasmine & Jeff were guests on The Howard Stern Show, which I was listening to at the time I was processing this shot. It was a repeat from 2005. I knew Jasmine. The show had flown her to NYC to participate in a contest (which she won) from here in San Diego.
You don't really want to know the particulars of the contest...but I found it hilarious.
I got a good chuckle imagining describing in detail just who Jasmine & Jeff were to you, & what they were up to. But I suspect y'all would find it inappropriate. That made giving it that title that much more delicious.
