In preparation for Winter, I accompany my dad out to a farm near Davidsburg to buy 50lb. bags of these; Dad had these things mounted on the trees to attach the corn to, which he does every morning, to keep the squirrels fed all Winter.
It's kinda funny watching them- they will eat a piece, then scurry off to bury a piece for safekeeping, or Winter, or something. But with the ground covered with feet of snow, the squirrels then cannot find what they buried. Still, they are compelled to do it!
