Every may and november there's a big funfair in my city, the biggest of all cities located on the river Weser. Today I went there with my cousins Luis (11yrs) and Leni (9yrs). We didn't go into a lot of stuff but there were amazing opportunities for me to take photos, and I always wanted to try those light trails. This was taken with 1/5 of a second and f10.7 or something :)
That's a pretty cool shot! A tad underexposed for my taste (at least the foreground), but I guess its straight-out-of-camera (SOOC)?
In any case, hand-holding a shot at such a slow shutter speed is never easy, not even with built-in image stabilization. I'm surprised this shot isn't much more blurred than it is. An instant fav for me!
Gut gemacht.
@xtrmntr2k You're right.. might be underexposed but I just had two.. äh... Blendenwerte... :'D to choose from and f9.7 was a lot too high :( It's SOOC except the wiriting in the corner of course :D I'm not really good in editing but I want to have PSE for christmas, maybe I'll get used to editing then.
And thanks a lot for the fav :)
@justaspark No prob - to be honest I'm not really familiar with the controls of bridge cameras, so I didn't knowt that you were limited to one or two specific aperture (-> blendenwert) settings. You should be able to get away with a small post-processing increase in exposure, though (too much and all you get is grey and noise, of course).
As for getting Adobe Photoshop Elements, you may want to have a look at Adobe Lightroom instead. It's pretty much a slightly more professional version of PSE, although it's also around 50% more expensive. I recently started using Lightroom 5.0 and I absolutely love every bit of it. You can get it for as 'little' as EUR 99,00 (i.e. on amazon.de).
@xtrmntr2k Thanks for the tip about the program, ill check it out later :) Well it's a bit strange with my camera: Sometimes I have more than two aperture (thx :D) settings but sometimes just two or three. But I got used to it.
Hab mal gegooglet, ich glaube nicht :( Aber bei diesen komischen Kameraseiten kann man sich da immer nicht so sicher sein. Ich probiere bei Gelegenheit mal selbst rum..
That's an amazing photo, Jule! Brilliant colors, and it's very sharp for being hand-held at 1/5 second! (Your aperture was f/10.2, though, according to the EXIF.) Anyway, I love this shot.
@justaspark Jule, what is that ride called? It looks a lot like a ride we had at an amusement park here in Rhode Island years ago. (The park is gone, now, unfortunately.) The ride was called the "Music Express." You'd sit three people to a bench seat and there were probably 20 rows of benches or so. It went in a circle at about 60 MPH (100 KPH), and then reversed so you were whipping around backwards, again at 60 MPH (100 KPH). It was one of my favorite rides, as long as it wasn't right after lunch.
@kannafoot There were two similar rides on the fair. I don't remember which one being this, but it MIGHT also be the "Music Express", cause one of the rides was called like that and also looked like that!
I can't go into stuff like that cause I have circulation problems (means I really fast get dizzy or sick...)
@justaspark I'm okay (barely) with going in a circle. You do NOT want me to go upside down, though! We had a few rides at Rocky Point that flipped you upside down, and I avoided them like the plague. lol
@kannafoot we have a couple of rides like this. "Polar Express" and the "Himalaya" (probably spelled that wrong!! Lol!). One hoe forward and one goes backwards!!

As for the comparison between PSE and LR, Adobe has a nice official video (in German, even!) explaining the most important differences in less than 7 minutes: http://tv.adobe.com/de/watch/von-photoshop-elements-zu-lightroom-wechseln/warum-sich-photoshop-elementsnutzer-lightroom-ansehen-sollten-/
P.S.: Unterstützt deine Kamera eigentlich RAW-Format?

My name's Jule btw not Julie, that's swedish or something and means Christmas Time :'D Just saying :)
But good you like it and thx for the nice words! :)
