A second attempt at my get pushed challenge of taking a b&w shot today. As most of you suggested yesterday I took a tone which isn't that much sepia and has more contrast today.
This is my father's mixing panel or mixing desk or however you call that (stupid google translate!). He mixes and masters songs from his own bands (he has three) and other bands from our city. When I was smaller I always recorded a CD with me singing songs at his studio as a christmas present for Mum. :-)
He does that in his studio, which is... right in our cellar. I decided to take my photo of the day there today... gosh I like outdoor shots so much better...

That's an excellent b&w conversion, Jule! I really like the contrast here, and it's a very good composition. Nice sharp focus right where you need it, and the light highlights on each of the sliders is perfect. Very well done! (I think "mixing panel" is closest in translation.)

very nicely done... you got great contrast and some fabulous tones here... how are you finding using LR for black and white conversion?
