1. Tomorrow is Christmas! Yes, we celebrate christmas on the evening of the 24th (I think you call it Christmas Eve in English). I dunno why it's celebrated on different days in different countries, but it obviously is! Anyways, time for me to get into the christmas spirit, I don't really feel festive this year...
2. Another month is done, and THAT means I have hit 25%!!! Time on here flew so fast and I do not regret signing up for this at all. It's been an amazing journey. Here's to the next 75%! :)
This shot has cheered me right up. I have Swedish family and they celebrate at the same time. I love that tradition. Hope you have a lovely festive time! Love that smiley face!
Very nice seasonal photo! Nice short DoF, too. This did make me wonder what Santa Claus is called in Germany!
Yes, we do call it Christmas Eve in the US. Some people celebrate it on the Eve (as you do) and others on Christmas Day. It depends on their heritage. My ancestry on my mother's side was Italian, so we always celebrated on Christmas Eve with a traditional Italian 7 fish dinner (and enough pasta to feed the first marine division.) I think most Americans with a continental European heritage celebrate on Christmas Eve.
Very nice Flickr site! I've been using it as well for a couple of years. I added you as a contact, so I look forward to seeing what didn't make it into your PAD gallery!
@tuya ty claire! :) @kannafoot Thank you! In Germany, Santa is called the “Weihnachtsmann“ btw :)
That's interesting, so you celebrate today too? :D
Thank you, I'll check out your Flickr later!
