Apocalypse

Of course not! But last night's thunderstorm really had a bit of an apocalyptic feeling :o It was so long and intense...
So I was awake at 5AM (Insomnia...) and suddlenly there was all thunder and lightning and I went to the window and grabbed my camera and tripod on serial shot... I took several hundred pictures and got one decent one... but I really like this one :)
Btw the lightning didn't hit the house, that's kind of forced perspective :D
And the best part was that with all that photo work I forgot that I have anxiety :p

Ich hab mich auch total erschrocken als es losging... vor allem hier in unserer Altbauwohnung mit den 3m hohen Dekcen hallt das wie sonst was.. Aber hey, toll das du es geschafft hast den Blitz einzufangen, das hab ich noch nie geschafft...

@kannafoot But the thing is that I hadn't slept all night before! LOL
I tend to get up at 6AM when I have school but sometimes like when we write an exam and I still want to revise a bit in the morning, I also set my alarm to 5 or 5:30 so I know how you feel :/

@kannafoot BTW, is today a holiday in the US? Over here it is, it's called Pfingsten. (Google Translate gives me the term Pentecost!) That's why I didn't have to worry about getting up early fortunately. Tomorrow I have free too. It's called "Pentecost vacation." Nice vacation, durating one day but better than none :D

@justaspark No, it's not a holiday here. Yesterday was Pentecost, and it's a holy day in the Catholic Church, but it's not a secular holiday here. In the US, Pentecost always falls on a Sunday, too.
