This picture will make you glad not to be in school anymore. :D
Today we had a vocab test in Latin. First test of the term. It's not a very big deal, we write these every month or so but still no one wants to get a bad mark, of course... My learning method is to study in the afternoon and then revise the stuff again in the morning. I listen to music at the same time (only in the morning) and I know this is not very effective but it gives you more confidence :)
(Also have a look at the VERY fitting song title! I put my phone on shuffle and that came on! :D)
Good Luck Jule, my language studies were terrible and a very long time ago. I did quite like Latin as quite useful for plant identification. BTW I do like your picture.
@homeschoolmom@barneyone Thanks you two, I'm actually pretty good at languages (don't want to show off but as you can probably see with my English) but there are just too many vocabs to memorize! We currently are at unit 33 (which took us 3 years) and have to be at 45 by easter :(
@justaspark Your English is excellent. When we lived in Germany, I could read German fairly well, but I had trouble with the accent, as my first German teacher in college was Chinese and barely spoke English. My husband, on the other hand, never had a formal German class, but picked it up very quickly.
Interesting capture, I never learned Latin and am not sure it would have been good for my later job as an engineer, I did however study French which I did put to use in the many visits I have made to France.
Your title is indeed true for me. I studied both Latin and French many, many, many years ago and remember almost nothing! I loved my school days but am glad there are no tests in my future. Nicely captured!
There's something really compelling about this composition. It's funny, though, but scanning down the page I kept trying to see if I could understand the Latin word, and I kept forgetting that the translation was in German, not English. LOL
@kannafoot Haha sorry, me and a friend who knows the same languages as me once had the idea to put together a 3 language vocab list with English too :) but as far as we haven't, you have to put up with the German translation ^^ The words weren't really interesting anyways, but did you know any? I could tell you if you got them right. lol
