Year 2: 169/365
I got a wrist support that I can wear whenever it hurts. This and next weeks we're writing lots of exams so I'm wearing it almost all the time. The problem is that when I take it off it feels like a lorry drove over it and when I don't wear it it burns... Argh, I dunno what's better :/
Played around in PSE here :)
@melston yup, if you look at my pictures from the last February week to now you might find I had something like a
bands distortion or a tenosynovitis, nobody knows for sure :( My dad is a very sucessful alternative practioner and he gave me an ointment which works for a short time... I also was at an orthopedist who gave me a splint and then said I should "rest"... I seriously can't rest as I write with that hand :(
Mine was, too. after splinting and weeks of 'rest' some muscles atrophy, and some are ok because of writing and typing. I had some very specific movements to do to strengthen it again. It was nearly a year before normal strength and dexterity returned. Best of luck with that hand!
I do sympathise as my rheumatoid arthritis sometimes effects my wrists and it can be so painful and difficult to get anything done. Hope your's improves very soon, especially with your exams.
