So the excavation went really well!

Cant believe how quickly they dug all of this out today.

Don't worry about commenting, I'm using this as my photo diary for the construction of the pool.

This is what I do for a living, but here in California...very interesting to see the way they do things back there!

@kdrinkie HAHA! Unfortunately, we do things waaaayyy different here. Maybe it's because we have earthquakes or just because we have to make sure everything costs like 5x as much as it does in the rest of the country...lol, but our pools are gunited, steeled, and our earth I think is ALOT harder than yours. A big pool like yours would take at LEAST 6 weeks here start to finish, and if we are doing hardscape and plants, etc., we are often on a job for 4 months! But like I said, I think it's the Southern California Factor.
