Trouble is, you're still young... but you're starting to age. You don't think of yourself as 'that old' but then you look in the mirror and are surprised by one more wrinkle, one more gray hair...
Tonight I experimented with some makeup and lighting to make myself half young, half old; feel free to cover half my face and see, it's weird! Kali, you inspired me with your shot - being so youthful but showing us your gray in your beautiful photo :)
I have noticed that I am now at an "invisible" age, when people look straight through me (despite the glare and the knives)...sigh. Great shot and concept though
@graemestevens hahaha despite the daggers of death in their eyes when staring directly at you, they're really not looking?! :) :) I do feel the same though (perhaps less knives?)... and thank you!
That's a really cool selfie. I'm on the upside of middle age, but I'm trying to hang onto my youth with hair coloring and good face products (Rodan and Fields). I hardly ever wear makeup.
@homeschoolmom thanks Lisa! @kali66 Kali, I must assure you I am not ;) @annied thanks very much, Annie! My kids looked at me and asked why the one part of my face looked "rough" ;) @yaorenliu hehe thank you Yao, it's very strange to me :) @mona65 *blush*!!! You are too kind as I do not like even my 'young' side in this - I just liked the effect ^_^ @tracys thanks so much Tracy :)
Honestly, both sides are beautiful to me! I have never been bothered by my increasing number of wrinkles and openly welcomed the gray hairs. I figure I earned everyone of them. To me, even in my early youth, beauty was about what's on the inside of a person. Neat experiment, love the lighting.
@taffy thanks so much Taffy!! The difference was really strange to me!! @kategoring you are too, too much Kate - thank you, and you know I usually am fine with it too, because who cares! I agree - inside beauty is everything; we've all seen some beautiful-looking people become ugly just due to their actions or the miserable way they treated others...
Listen my friend, both sides are perfect. I'm an old fart (64) and I have earned every wrinkle I own. I'm chronically immature so I feel that makes up for my age :-). Thank you for asking about me. I'm great but busy. I hope you and the sweethearts are well too.
@bill_fe I thank you, kind sir :) @amandal thank you and I hear you!! If I don't look in the mirror I don't even think about it; and when I do there are times when I'm like "it's all in the mind!" :) And um I saw your yoga pic, believe me you're fine haha!!
