... are part of anyone's childhood. I feel old when I have to explain to my kids that my siblings and I used to be stuck in the car for over eight hours twice a summer with nothing but each other and the eventual Walkman to keep us entertained - and we never complained about it!
I used to live my Walkway! You Jay brought back done wonderful memories. Lovely shot, the brim of the hat hides just enough to make new want to lift it. I would kill for such beautiful lips.
Great picture,... love the light and the hidden face.
Childhood - Walkman.. ??? I feel old, when I have to say that I have bought the novelty called walkman with my first salary as grownup. But we had Tintin for longer car rides. ;-)
@mona65 haha of course you did ;) but we weren't allowed to read in the car because of the very sinuous roads, it would make us sick... to be fair Mona I was more of an older teenager at the time I was lucky enough to get a Walkman so I'm right there with you!
This is a lovely shot, so simple, elegant and intriguing too. I actually remember our long family holiday car journeys very fondly. Listening to Fantastic Mr Fox and the best of Wings. It's possible I have better memories of the journeys than the actual holidays.
@carla42 I loved reading that :) I agree, to think of it there was no room to complain because it was just a neat thing to do. Many memories attached to those trips!!
