Her Escape by kerosene

Her Escape

She'd had a rough childhood
The traumatic divorce of her parents
A subsequent abusive stepfather

But when she showed up to play
She gave it all she had
With all her heart, all her soul

She didn't know it at the time
But decades later, she realized
That it had been her escape
Our hobbies and passions truly are the life lines that keep us afloat

great words to match image - I think we all have an escape from whatever it may be that requires some solitude

Very touching words, that give this beautiful capture a very profund feeling. Love the focus and the negative spaces adds so much, to make this a great picture. And the b-w treatment too.

What a beautiful image! Flutes are such a park of the Celtic music we often hear in Nova Scotia, I can hear this clearly in my mind. How touching that though she'd been unhappy, her music will bring happiness to all who hear her!
