Today I was able to spend some alone time with my six year old. She sometimes asks for time alone with me. My theory is that she was born first, therefore needs us to have one-on-one time, without her (beloved) three year old brother. She cares for him and the two of them play very well together (a little too well sometimes, they can get rowdy!), but she does need her time. Her little brother however was born with her already there. She's always been in his world. As such, he gets sad when she's not around and he misses her...
It was nice being with just her today! Before heading to the indoor pool for some frolicking in the warm water, some Wii was in order... This is just how she enjoys sitting.
