Wow that must have been exciting to be a researcher for your professor and later come across that article again. your picture is so beautiful. the cloud formation looks like giant birds in flight.
What a beautiful view to those gorgeous mountains! Is that all cloud cover? It's so dramatic! I can just imagine the pleasure it gave you to realize the article that's being read is one you worked on! @pinktornado39 I'm not really sure. What mountain is Old Tucson on? I'm kind of new here so I'm still learning the town and with all my school work I haven't had lots of time to explore. I do think, however, those are the mountains we drove through when we went to the Arizona Desert Museum and drove past Old Tucson. I could be wrong though. not the catalinas then because they are the big ones north of town.
so, these mountains are west of town ... lol.. i just looked online and it looks like they are the Tucson Mountains (out Ajo/ Gates Pass?), but don't quote me on that. my resident expert is out of the country or else i'd ask him. he'd move back there in a heart beat! his advisor called him a walking encyclopedia of AZ geology.
