Many of us get caught up in the festivities of this holiday - the hot cocoa or cider, the Christmas tree with presents piled high, and the fun and laughter with family and friends. All of this is wonderful. However, in all of these festivities, sometimes the significance for this celebration is lost. Over the last couple of weeks, I am reminded of how grateful I am for the greatest gift we've received this season. The gift of life that baby Jesus brings. For this child would be born in a manger and then die on a cross so that we could have life and have it more abundantly. So, if you already have a relationship with Jesus (your savior), take the time to reflect on the sacrifice involved with this gift and be thankful. If you do not know Jesus, now is the perfect time to repent of your sins and start that relationship.
