Washington D.C. Temple by khawbecker

Washington D.C. Temple

I attended my nephew's wedding today in this beautiful edifice, which is located in Kensington, Maryland. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints dedicated this temple in 1974. D.C.-area traffic reports often use this temple as a landmark, referring to it as the Mormon Temple.
I bet it's beautiful inside. The grounds are very pretty.

This looks so similar to one in the Portland Oregon area. I keep trying to get a photo of it. I'll try again soon. It is along the freeway and is partially obscured by trees. I'll try again.
Very cool shot!

Lots of contrasting colors in this one, backgrounded by the gray-white building. But the really stunning part is the golden spires rising from the 6 towers! Wonderful shot wizard! :-)

Very nicely composed using the pathway and the trees to take me into the shot. They also frame your subject nicely.
