Today is the 151st anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, given at the cemetery in the heart of the battlefield. This photo is of a portion of the third day battlefield--the scene of Pickett's failed charge and a major turning point in the U.S. Civil War. The Union lines were on the ridge in the distance.
I find the American Civil War fascinating, and Lincoln is one of my heroes. Love the details of this view and the way you've used sepia but put a little yellow on the gun carriage (if that's what it is). It is horrible to think of the bloodshed, though. This is a fav for me.
