Walking through a mass of tree skeletons left after one of the Mesa Verde fires. The land is renewing itself, and even the lowly rabbit brush is beautiful and welcome.
@tremerryn Rabbit brush is native to this part of the country and very common. It thrives in arid places, so you often see it where not much else will grow. I'm guessing it got its name by providing shelter to the local long-eared residents. Lots of critters consider rabbits to be a major food group.
