From my tulip garden at home. An unusual tulip with a frilly edge. Tulip 'Purple Prince' in the background. To see what the whole flower bed looked like, have a look at http://365project.org/kiwiflora/365/2012-11-16 These are the cream ones on the right hand side.
Love the photo. Do they stay frilly the next year, or like my tulips which slowly reverted to yellow if you don't remove the flowers quick enough, nice DOF
@ssimon All my tulips are named varieties so should remain true. I will be extremely miffed if they are not frilly next year! I'll keep you posted! Thanks for the compliment.
@brav@brav I planted 140 tulip bulbs and about 80 daffodils, and I was thrilled that every one came up and flowered! First time I've planted bulbs - they are fairly easy to grow where I live, but when I lived in South Africa in Durban it was impossible to grow them as it was hot and humid and no cold winter to kick-start the bulbs.
Thats great. We got 120 bulbs as a present from our neighbour. Gave some to the mother in law to plant at a local school, some to my dad for his garden and planeted the rest. Fingers crossed they will work.
