@stevepam Thanks! My husband said that these were edible - but I'm a bit nervous to try them! I took some photos at the Dunedin Bot Gardens a few years ago of some red ones - toadstools I think. Looked just like a fairy garden, all in the circle around a tree trunk.

Very unusual, but I wouldn't try eating them, either. If you had told me this was a piece of garden art, I would not have been surprised!
