This is for you, Stephen (@ssimon) - the open flower from my bud photo 8th August. I have to say, not the best photo, and also doesn't do the real-life colour of the flower any justice. It's one of those colours that just doesn't reproduce well in a photo. But will give you an idea of the flower - it's probably 12cm -15cm across.
Thanks - is it more red or more pink? It is not the style I was anticipating (if it is still out when I get home will post). Love it though, very pretty camellia.
@ssimon It is definitely more pink than red, although the buds and early flowers lean more towards the red. Seems to get pinker as the flowers mature. It is darker in real life than in my photo.
