Pink ribbon for breast cancer

Nerine bowdenii - reminded me of a Pink Ribbon, the international symbol of breast cancer awareness.

This week a young friend of mine, mother of two boys under the age of 10, was diagnosed with breast cancer - she will need to undergo a mastectomy fairly soon. Kia kaha, my friend.

Beautiful image, Francoise - and I wish the very best for your friend. I am a cancer survivor (diagnosed at 29 the first time) and have several friends who are breast cancer survivors. One was diagnosed at 30 and is now 60 and healthy.
