This is one of two photos I have been trying to get since January 2011. Air New Zealand introduced a limited number of planes in this All Blacks livery in December 2010 to celebrate the 2011 Rugby World Cup being held in New Zealand later that year.
Our nursery is under the flight path of Christchurch International Airport (about 12km as the crow flies north east of us), so we get a good opportunity to see planes flying in and out of Christchurch. Every time one of these All Blacks planes has flown over I've either not had my camera at work, was charging the battery, was out in the nursery attending to customers etc etc - the list is long! Today I was sitting in the office, heard a plane, looked through my window and there it was. Couldn't believe my luck. The other one was photographed on 13th November.
@lynne5477 Thanks Lynne. My dad loves planes and when we were kids we used to take a drive to the Durban International Airport and watch the planes coming and going. In those days it was just a national airport, and you could get access to a deck on the top of the building to watch. Nowadays, no such luck due to all the security measures.
