I've always loved this sign and took advantage of a rare opportunity to drive by it in the daylight. There was no one around, so I just pulled over. By the time I had set the parking brake, a pickup pulled up beside me containing a farmer who was half my size and twice my age, wanting to know if I needed help. I love Maine. So please don't run over his horses. Watch out!
Great sign and what a funny story! Same thing happened to me a couple times out here. I pulled over to take a picture and the next motorist to go by is a really old guy, small too. He just wanted to make sure I was okay!
And then one time I was changing a flat tire and this (again) very old, very small man stops, gets out of his pickup and asks if he can help. Lucky for me I was just about done changing the tire.
@pjonas I was doing the math and figured out that twice my age and half my size is still possible, but just barely. However, you see people half my age and twice my size every day. I think that makes me a little old lady!
