A neighborhood family took up sledding on the path under my bedroom window. I didn't mind when they took a run, tolerated it when they stayed all afternoon, but by the third consecutive day I realized that if I don't take drastic action, this will become a 30-year habit. Because it's a deeded right-of-way, I can't just ask them to move on; they can and will tell me to get stuffed. What I need is something that convinces them that another hill would be better. When I am far out of sight and mind, the snow itself must reject them...I'm going to call this a venial sin, since this is water and food coloring. Using the real article would have been the mortal sin.
