My pup, Sadie and I are a completely bereft today. The wind blew the basement door open in the night and our little kitty, Chloe, was missing this morning. She's never been outside before so I am terribly worried. Sadie and I spent the whole day looking for her. We play a game with Sadie where we say, "Where's the kitty?" and she goes crazy trying to find her. Today, I took Sadie to the basement door and said those words and she dragged me through brambles and poison ivy all the way to the bottom of the hill out in back of our house. Then she seemed to lose her trace. We walked up and down our neighborhood and I have given my name and number to every person I encountered. I did all the official stuff too, like calling Animal Rescue, the Animal Control Officer at the Brewster Police and the company that manufactured the id microchip in Chloe. Even though we've only had this cat since July 24, she is very special to me. I'm a writer and most days, I sit on my couch with my laptop in my lap, my little doggie by my side and the kitty curled around my neck like a living shawl. I so hope she comes home...sooc.
Oh Laurie, I hope she comes home soon. sometimes if you take the picture to a elementary school and ask for help, the kids respond very well. Thats 300 pairs of eyes looking for you. This worked for me one time.
Oh, my heart goes out to you. I love that Sadie was a trooper and tried to find her for you. I really hope she comes home safely. I know that you will not be the only one who will mis Chloe, as Sadie appears to be quite attached as well.
This is a beautiful shot Laurie.. I too had a cat get out that was never out before.. here is what worked for me .. and I had a cat lady tell me about it.. set a bowl out with Tuna in it.. she will come toward that smell.. their smell is 200% better than humans... But this is a sweet shot.. I will keep her in my prayers tonite...
