I have three daughters and I love each of them so much, but being the mother of four kids means that sometimes you have to focus your attention on just one at a time. I was trying to shoot three rose buds in my front yard to symbolize my three girls, but realized that the best shot both photo-wise and symbolically was just one in focus and the others still present but blurred for the moment. My second daughter, Melissa came home today for a week long visit. She lives in Florida and hasn't been in huggable distance in a year and a half, so this photo seemed like the perfect capture of that one rosebud in my life I want to focus on this week. In addition to my daughter's visit, there are so many other things going on, so I'm going to have to take a break from comments for the next day or two. I'm looking forward to catching up with you all in a couple of days.
It's a wonderful photo Laurie, and the rose makes a great shot. It sounds like you'll have a great few days. Enjoy your time with your Daughter. Oh, I cannot wait until our Daughter comes home.
