Yesterday at about 5 p.m. I noticed that the light was especially beautiful so I headed to the beach to try to capture it. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot of Crosby Landing Beach, I heard the loudest bunch of shore birds and when I got down to the beach the tide was going out and a whole bunch of minnows had been trapped in a tidal pool and the birds were in a frenzy. They let me get really close and I took about 450 photos. I stayed there in their midst watching the sun go down for an hour. It was so magical that I can't decide which photo I like best, but this one spoke to me. I'm posting a larger view of the scene in my extra albulm.
Oh this is great!! Love the light and water drops. How wonderful to spend some time like that. I don't know about you but this photo says a lot...in the fact that instead of focussing on the bird which I would be doing you have seen more and it really doesn't matter that the bird is out of the picture. Brilliant! A fave for me!
Great action shot. You really captured the motion of the water. @Cherrill is right, focusing on the water and not the bird makes this so much more interesting. A Fav for me.
