It was a gloomy and rainy day on the Cape today, so photos were a bit more challenging. This was taken at Rock Harbor, which is filled with boats in the summer. Now just a few stragglers like this one are left. Boat owners who wait until the last minute like whoever owns this one, strike me as the most dedicated mariners.
what a beautiful place, even with the rain. the gold tones on the tall grass looks beautiful and the simplicity of this dock is unique. great shot and thank you for your beautiful words in todays capture.
This would be my husband's boat. He is a water/boat devotee! I just read that article about Proj365 in that Cape Cod newspaper. You wrote that, right? You mentioned Trina... yeah! She is a great friend and 365-er! I do have people ask me " you're doing WHAT again?" abou the project. Your piece explained it well.
Very nicely framed with the lone boat, and the rainy day adds to the composition.
I really loved your article. I'm only sorry I didn't e-mail you about it. I read your post late, and then I slept on it and it fell out of my head. Work is crazy, but you know how that is.
wonderful photo Laurie
the cloudy days make it hard to capture
awesome you have a dock like this to go to! ive always wondered how it would b to own one of these!
@lauriehiggins Laurie, where on the Cape do you live? My brother lives in Dennis, right off Rt. 6A. I was in Sandwich at the end of the summer to see the sites- very quaint little town! I saw a photo that Trina posted when she met up with you. Think it would be great to get together. I wonder how many more of us are in the area?
