Lobster Trap Christmas Tree by lauriehiggins

Lobster Trap Christmas Tree

Today I had to drive my son and his drum set to Provincetown for his art class at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, so I walked around for a while taking photos and then settled into an internet cafe to try to catch up on my 365 commenting. It was alot of fun and a nice break from my regular routine.
So appropriate for a New England holiday! The lights add just enough twinkle to a lovely twilight sky.

Isn't it nice when you find some "down time" and you have your camera and things of interest to shoot. Nice composition and very clear for 1/40th sec.

As many times I have been in P-Town over the years, I have to say you have found something new, and very "artsy" for me to appreciate there. Lobster traps for decorations? Very different indeed!

Sometimes a break in routine is all that is needed to recharge your batteries. This is too cool! So many ways to decorate for the Holidays!
December 20th, 2011
There was one on Chronicle the other night 30 feet tall made from green wire lobster traps in Rockport Maine (I think) and they filmed the people making it. It was a lot of work. They were really proud of it as I am sure the people who made this one are. Yankee ingenuity. Great Shot!
