I didn't plan to take another seagull photo, but after church today I went to my Grandmother's house for a visit and she misunderstood and thought I was taking her to my house. I explained that I couldn't take her to my house because she's allergic to dogs and cats and I have both. She'd been stuck inside her house since Wednesday so I took her to the beach instead and we watched the seagulls, which she enjoyed very much. So this is a memory of the day photo.
Oh, LH how lovely that your grandmother is still alive and you can spend time with her! I was very close to my grandmother--she lived with our family and took care of my sister and I while my mother was working. The reflections of the blue sky on the water is lovely and the bird gave you a red carpet pose!
I love hanging out with elderly people... They just fascinate me somehow. Your granny sounds adorable. At least you had some good weather for your beach visit. :-) I love the blue reflections on the little rivers
Love the blue sky reflected in the water. I wonder if he's checking you out or scanning for food? Nice of you to take Grandma A out to see the birds and the ocean while my Mom is visiting your Mom. Since she missed out on her usual routine of Thursday night pizza and Sunday morning brunch, I'll bet a trip to the ocean was just what she needed. And you can post all the sea gull photos you want. I promise you no one will complain. You always manage to get an incredible shot.
What a great way to create a memory. Hang on to those memories.
I have no memories of my dad's parents, both passed away before I was 4 years old. My other two died before I was a teen. In a way I'm jealous, but in a way, I'm grateful for you that you can create your own memories like this. Wonderful shot.
Nice photo. The beach is a wonderful place to go to alleviate cabin fever. I am sure you both enjoyed your outing. Now you will have a reminder of it for always.
That was really sweet of you, I'll bet she was glad to get out. I miss my grandmother tons (she lives in California). This seagull looks all fluffed up and cold
