Marsh Reflections by lauriehiggins

Marsh Reflections

It was too cold outside to explore for very long, so I didn't have alot to choose from. This is kind of bleak, but a fairly accurate view of most of the scenery I see every day this time of year. I actually do see this small marsh every day.
oh, it's cold here too Laurie! i think it looks cold in this picture......there is just something about that winter blue sky......brrrr!
hope you get a warm up soon!

The reflection is pretty. The tree actually looks healthy and strong in the reflection.

Was the tree already fallen or did it fall recently?

Beautiful reflections on a cold, wintry day! I went out for a bit, but my hands were numb by the time I got back to the car!

looks like a nice but cold day.

Great reflections in the water. Nice capture. Poor tree looks like it's been a hard winter on it. But I bet the birds and turtles will love it as a perching & sunning place.

I think that I would enjoy seeing that everyday

awesome reflection and wonderful clear blue sky with this single cloud!

The reflections are obtuse at first

Sounds pretty much like our area today. This poor tree had a rough time of it.

Wow these colors pop out at you. I love the reflections. wonder when this fell down, Irene, Bob, winter storm? Yes I play Scrabble every night we are home and I have 6 games going with people on line, keeps the old mind turning.

It does look cold! Did the tree recently fall over?
February 13th, 2012
Very beautiful shot. Love the bit of snow and the different blues.

I almost took a photo out my bedroom window this morning of the wetlands behind my house where all the trees are fallen over and alive. Hard to stand up when your feet are wet. Cool broken tree.
February 13th, 2012
Love the way the tree is bending over the water and, of course, I love any photo that has snow in it! :-) Very nice shot, Laurie.

great capture Laurie!
February 14th, 2012
I like the reflection and the lone cloud in the sky. Nice shot.
February 14th, 2012
I love how the sky is bluer in the reflection than in reality. Bleak but beautiful shot!
February 14th, 2012
cool shot!

@webfoot @twinsplusone I'm not exactly sure when this tree fell, but I'm pretty sure it was in the last six months. The winter landscape is revealing so many fallen trees from Hurricane Irene. It's weird to see more destruction now than when the storm actually occurred, but it is everywhere around me now that the leaves and thick growth are gone.

I'm impressed that you manage to find so many beautiful shots of the Cape in the winter. I feel like when we go up, it's so bland and bleak. Nicely captured!
