Today was rainy and cloudy for most of the day and I took a whole bunch of gloomy shots as I did errands in the late afternoon. Then unexpectedly, the sky started to turn blue and sun came out. This was taken in the parking lot of a local store because I didn't trust the sun to stay. It didn't.
@sarasdadandmom Thank you for the reminder that I have been moving much too fast these days. It really touched me that you noticed...or... were you about to give me a speeding ticket? Okay, now you gave me a laugh too.
@lorihiro Miss LH, that is indeed a water droplet. It was torture to choose my photo today because I captured my first great water droplet reflection, but I didn't love the composition of the rest of the photo. So, now I have a new goal.
@peterdegraaff They are indeed forsythia and they are abundant where I live. They are one of the first things to bloom in excess and many people have hedges of them. Between the forsythia and the daffodils, all of Brewster (my hometown) is yellow.
Lesson learned. Always take the shot. It might be better later on, but it also might be worse. My cactus shot from today is like that. I've seen the cactus with more water droplets on it than today. Just didn't take the shot then. Always take the shot. ;-)
I love the color and that out of focus door back there makes me want to go and explore that a little bit.
I love forsythia! They are so bright and cheery. Yellow is my favorite color...the color of the sun! I am with Paul about "Taking the shot"....I try to edit myself as I am taking pics.....I see something and think "I'll take that later " or "that won't be a good picture" but usually I take it anyway. at times I am glad, as I end up with a nice photo that i never did expect to get.
Beautiful forsythia! Great shot! We have it here and I have been trying to get a shot either the yellow is too bright and glarey or it looks all washed out. You have inspired me I will keep persevering........

This is a really great shot!
