Tonight we went to Provincetown for the opening reception of our son's art class exhibition at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. While Steve and Tommy (or Thommy or T.C. depending on his mood) waited for our food to arrive at a South African style Cafe, I snuck out to take some photos of the harbor.
The sky was dark, but that famed Provincetown light was mesmerizing. I didn't really capture it properly, but this photo struck me as perfect for my son's evening tonight. Artists have flocked here for at least a century. I'm so happy my son can be a small part of that experience and sees views like this on a regular basis.
I struggle with this type of shot because the foreground and background are usually uninteresting compared to the little slice in the middle. Needless to say, your pic does not have this problem. Really nice.
FAV for all the same reasons I have just read in the other comments. This is a fantastic shot of the harbor. How fun it is for you and Steve to be able to see Tommy's artwork in this impressive arena. P-Town is a happenin' art gallery town, always has been, always will be. Please congradulate him from us.
Congrats to your son. This.............now this is a fantastic capture of light and the grayness which is the essence of the Cape Cod and the artsy side of PTown. I think this is on the PP.
