I've been trying to capture the bluebirds that suddenly appeared this winter for weeks. Every time I try to shoot them, they scatter, and they only seem to show up on cloudy days, which might not mean much since they are mostly cloudy these days.
The whole time I was stalking these guys I thought of my dear friend Jennifer Carr, one of the best bird photographers ever who completed year two on 365 this week. If you want to see some really amazing bird photos, visit her page: http://365project.org/jenrobcarr/365.
@jenrobcarr XX and just so you know, I wished it was you capturing these beauties, because I know you would have done it right. Enjoy your break, but don't stay away too long!
And your patience paid off -- two posed beautifully and one actively drinking, all in one photo. And how generous of you to point us to your friend's 365 photos. You're right -- she takes fabulous bird photos! I'm now following her as well as you! Thanks for the tip.
wow! are those bluebirds? I mean I know they're birds and they're blue but I didn't know they were BLUEbirds. . .sorry. I digress. THey are so beautiful and this is a stunning capture! and a fav for me.
