We have been experiencing relentless storms that are simply destroying our beaches and dunes. I honestly don't know how the towns will get them cleaned up before the summer tourist season. Sorry I've been absent. We've had two full weeks of clouds, rain and snow, and I just couldn't bear to take so many gray and dark photos. I did chronicle some of the beach destruction and this photo perfectly captured how I felt.
grwat shot Laurie - I knwo what you mean about the grey and relentless - we had a sunny day alst Tuesday where is felt like spring was finally going to emergy...and now we're crashed back into winter. Hope the storms haven't casued too much irrepairable damage
Aw Laurie... sorry you've been so hard hit by the weather in your part of the world. You'll be all the more pleased when the sun finally comes out and gives you a brilliant day before the summer heat sets in. Love the brilliant light in this one.
Seems I left before this winter! Not that we haven't had our share of snow here. I heard the ocean broke through the dune and is flooding the Pamet River in Truro. (at Ballston Beach). Might be worth a trip. Who knows what's going to happen there.
@westcoastwallis Oh yes, Paula, I so need that light right now. It's been missing for weeks, except in five minute snatches when I'm driving with no camera.
I totally understand--I am really trying to keep my part-time 365 status! Your coast sure has a lots of horrible weather for the last 6 months! I understand your sadness to see the destruction. Sending a big hug!
