Cape Cod Bay has drastic tides, which makes for an ever changing scenery even if you visit it every day. This is mid to low tide. At high tide, the water would be up to the branch. At dead low, it wouldn't even be visible.
It's hard to believe this is a beach. Our beaches never look like this. In fact, unless it's raining, most of our beaches have people developing pre-cancerous glows.
a little further up the road from you, the Town Beach has had major issues as well. Spent every summer day there as a kid-the daily changes are unbelievable. The big worry is the dune breaching. Each storm batters the barriers, removes any new sand, and gets closer and closer to downtown. The boardwalk has taken a beating, although this past storm put it under water again, it is still standing. This is a great shot, Laurie-I'm so glad to see you back!
It is good to be back although I'm not taking all this too seriously anymore. Too many other things in the world to do I supposed. Good to hear from you and always enjoy your Cape Shots.
