I have only done a selective color photo once in year one, but this photo just begged me to try again because it's not very different from the real view.
I walk on different beaches all the time, but Point of Rocks in Brewster is the only one that has multiple beach chairs littering the beach all the time in the off season. I've puzzled through this and figured out that the summer houses along this stretch are all set up high on a dune with stairs to the beach. I'm guessing the chairs get left beneath those stairs when the summer folks leave and the winter storms wash them away.
It cracks me up that some year round person who walks this "private" beach in the winter like I do, sets up the chairs for a winter view. This is the only beach where I have ever seen sights like this. It always makes me happy.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, laughed out loud with this shot. Well, at least it is supposed to get rain after an inch of snow today. If we didn't have winter here the snowy owls wouldn't give us a show cause the tourists would scare them off!! LOL
It must be awesome to have the place to yourself. I feel that way about the lake. I sit on our dock, in the fall and winter, and just soak in the silence and solitude! Is this that chair you posted before? You said you'd come back to take pics of it?
