Sunset on Snow by lauriehiggins

Sunset on Snow

I seem to manage to take a photo every day, but I've fallen behind on posting them and commenting. I'm hoping to catch up tonight.
Lovely soft shades reflecting off the sand and snow

I'm so amazed at the snow covered beaches. The turquoise sky and reflection in the snow is so beautiful.

Beautiful capture. I love the ridges and shadows here. I can tell you're on the bay side just from the pictures.

This is phenomenal viewed large. Fav for me. I want to just stare at it a later dates. I do that too...get behind on posting but I have the pics taken daily. We are actually doing the "pic a day" thing again! yay! I kept forgetting to tag EOINA for Everything Old is New Again and so did many others. Then I started again. it is a pain, but I like to support those who are trying to get back in the habit. Probably after a month I won't do it anymore.I think we all know who we are and follow one another anyway. Back to the pic though, this is amazing. What a grand vista. You are so lucky to have those beaches to walk on. Do you ever see other people?

@espyetta Thank you, Marybeth, both for the fav and for your words. I'm really happy to be taking photos every day, even if I don't always have time to post them or comment. This time around, I'm focusing on what works best for me with 365. As for the winter beach - sometimes I'm all alone, especially during the day. But Cape Codders really love their beaches and they do visit them, especially at sunset. When people see a possible sunset brewing, they literally head to the beach. It's kind of funny.

@lauriehiggins Oh, I think it sounds wonderful! Just a wonderful place to live. It is nice here too, but so fast fast fast and go go go . It seems like it might be a bit more relaxed up there. And the beach and sea....so gorgeous. But when does spring come to Cape Cod?

@espyetta It is pretty wonderful. This time of year most people sit in their car, even if they are drawn to the beach. But the ones I meet outside with cameras, always stop to chat. A few days ago, I met a young man who works as a carpenter and captures the sunrise and sunset every day on his iPhone. He showed me his photos and I encouraged him to join 365. We don't actually have a real spring here. We usually have mild dreary winters, long dreary springs, and then suddenly, suddenly in mid-May it almost seems like summer. This winter has been off, so I'm curious if spring will be too. Earlier or later?

A dreary spring...that sounds so weird to me. I can feel spring about to spring around here in Ga! The trees have little red buds, some are full pink blossoms now. We have some COLD mornings and at times, afternoons, but it is warmer in general. We have amazing springs. Ours will start in about two weeks. haha
