A couple of weeks ago I was chatting to a Parks officer who asked me if I'd seen any Ibis around, as he thought he'd spotted one, and he hadn't seen any Ibis on the island before. I have been keeping an eye out ever since, and today I spotted it. I have some clearer photos of the bird, but they don't help me identify the species, it is black with an emerald sheen on the feathers, the neck is more grey. Whilst I have clearer photos, I really liked this one, it reminded me of the Indonesian shadow puppets (wayang kulit)
@brizmako correct, no digital zoom. @alia_801 he was a little unwieldy on the branch kept tipping forward and back trying to get his centre of balance rigth
