I opened my curtains after my shower this morning and was surprised to see this guy on my balcony railing. I took a few photos through the glass, then slowly opened the sliding door and then slowly slid open the screen door. He stayed in place for a few more shots and then plummeted earthwards in pursuit of his intended prey - some feral chicken chicks on the grass below.
I think they all bolted into the bushes in time.
This is wonderful! He was probably loitering there while you were showering hoping to get a glimpse of some boobies...or blue tits...or a robin red breast...or a seagull :)
