this pretty little bird was flitting around in the trees outside my cabin at Rawnsley Park Station in the Flinders Ranges.
This is a different type of fairy wren than I am used to seeing in south-eastern australia, the russet colour over the wing was so bright in the sunlight, however, he preferred to spend his time in the shade when i was trying to get a shot of him. He spent a lot of time obscured by branches so I was pleased when he paused briefly on this branch where I had a clear view of him
