Glasgow Necropolis - first roll of film in the camera

My Canon EOS 30E 35mm film SLR arrived minutes before I left for the Belgrade airport for my trip to Glasgow at Easter (2002). I was going to stay with of my closest friends, John, who was living there. I told him I wanted to take my new camera out for a test drive and he took me to the Glasgow Necropolis.

I loved this memorial, but looking back at the shot I find myself wishing I had taken the shot from a different angle. I used two rolls of film in quick succession on that first full day.

Cool shot. That was a lot back then.

Looks like an interesting place. You must have been very happy to have the new camera.

Lovely details! I agree - a different angle would have made the shot seem less busy, although that cemetery seems crowded.

I used to love getting film push developed. Interesting that there are cities of dead rather than cemeteries
