One of these birds is not like the others

Jabiru and Egrets at Fogg Dam Reserve wetlands east of Darwin
I was never very happy with this shot at the time, I wanted closer shots, I could have happily sat there all day, but the tour bus (en route to jumping crocs cruise) gave us a 5 min stop.
Looking back I am amazed at how many egrets were in this shot.

The Jabiru (Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus) aka Asian black necked stork is not the same bird as the Jabiru ( Jabiru mycteria) found in Mexico and south America.
That is a lot of egrets in one place.

Hey you have seen a Jabiru? Nearly as good as seeing a Brolga at lake Connewarre!!!

Fantastic how many there are.

@jenrobcarr yep, nearly. I saw a few jabiru, and did see some brolgas dancing in the middle of the Stuart Highway about 100km north of Katherine as we sped towards them hoping they'd stop dancing on the road before we got there, I do actually have a couple of shots of them taken through the windscreen

Cool capture.

They look quite comical! I can imagine them all doing a sort of pecky dance :)

Nice capture. We have them visit here occasionally (jabirus, I mean) and they are too shy to catch easily, so well done with this. I've got a very poor pic of one flying overhead.

Nice capture - it looks like there are egrets everywhere! I like the sneaky jabiru too - I wonder if he realises he's not an egret?

@lbmcshutter you will have to post a photo of your 'brolgas through the windscreen'!
