on this day - 12 months ago .... I went to great lengths to get a special photo to share on 365

I went out in a boat off Port Lincoln and got into a cage in the water to get up close and personal with great white sharks. It was an amazing experience. These huge fish had me in awe, and i kept forgetting to take photos, I wanted to just experience the sharks

I keep meaning to post retrospective shots in my theme of 'on this day' but I keep getting caught up in the memories of places I have been and experiences I have had and just enjoying my old photos and I don't get around to sharing them here.

@mwarren365 unfortunately it got my stomach going too, the 3-4 hour trip saw me experience seasickness for the first time in my life, I still had a wonderful time though

Very, very cool. I have swum with sharks in Galapagos. It made my blood run cold

@peterdegraaff I have been diving with many sorts of sharks on South Coast NSW including Grey Nurse, wobbegongs and Port Jacksons (so cute the Port Jacksons) and with bronze whalers, hammerheads and white tip reef sharks and others on CI, but with the great white was only time I was in a cage, and extremely happy about it too
